Welcome to the MLevel "Level Up" program! This course will teach you the basics of building a learning program in the MLevel studio by walking you through 4 quick articles on the platform. Once you're done, you'll take a quick assessment in Level 5 to earn your MLevel badge and access the MLevel studio. Have fun!
Create a New Mission
To create a new mission, click the blue button that says "+New”. A dialog box will appear prompting you to name your mission.
After typing in your mission name select "Create Mission".
Mission Details
After selecting the "Create Mission" button you will be brought to the Mission Details page of that mission. On this page you have the ability to change the name of your mission and overview text in addition to uploading an image for your mission. Don't forget to check the box next to "Is Active?" to ensure users can play it in the learner portal.
Adding Activities and Games
In the left navigation bar there will be a tab named Activities/Games. This is where you will add the activities into your mission. After clicking the tab, there will be a blue button labeled "Add Activities". Clicking that button will pull up a menu of all the activities available. Clicking directly on the activity in the menu will display a green check mark. To add your selections into the mission click the blue “Add” button.
Adding Game Questions
Upon clicking the "Game Questions" tab found in the left navigation bar, you will see labels for all of your activities that require questions. A wrench icon will be displayed beside the activity name, this is to inform you that questions need to be added before it can be published. Clicking into any of the activity labels will show you a message like the one below.
The red box with a “0” means there are not enough questions to satisfy the 10 question minimum displayed. To add a question, click the blue “Create New” button. This will bring you to a screen to view and select the different question types available.
Once you have added the minimum number of questions, or more, this red box will turn green and the wrench icon will disappear. Your activity is ready to be published!
Selecting a User Group
Before publishing your mission, you will need to define the audience. In MLevel this is done in the tab named "User Groups" in the left navigation bar. User Groups can be as specific as a new hire class or scale to include an entire region or division. By default there is also an "Everyone" group that includes everyone in your organization with access to MLevel. Select one or more User Groups and click Save before proceeding to publishing your mission.
Publish Your Mission
Your mission is ready to be published! Click “Publish All” at the bottom of the list to begin publishing all of the activities in your mission or the "Publish" button next to a specific activity you would like to publish.
Congratulations, you have now built an MLevel mission! You can play your mission by clicking the “Missions” dropdown menu at the top of the screen beside the header "MLevel Studio" and selecting “Web Player” to open https://mlevelweb.com in a different tab, or download the mobile app and play on the go.
