Leaderboards are a gamification mechanic that promote friendly competition and repeat plays amongst end users. The repeat plays result in additional content reinforcement that allow for long term recall of the content presented.
Leaderboard Options

Leaderboards are ranked by Completion>Mastery>Score>Duration

How are scores determined?
Key Terms
Game Points - Number of points scored within an Activity. This varies depending on the activity. For example, in Block Party points are earned by breaking blocks. In Check Point, they are earned by getting a question correct on the first attempt.
Knowledge Mastery - Percentage calculation of how well a player knows content within games.
Play Duration - Actual time spent "answering" questions within games.
